VIRAL SKYDIVE BARAAT IN LOS CABOS

For over a year we had a blast planning Akaash Yadav & Gaganpreet Singh’s wedding in Los Cabos! Every meeting we had with them was fun and they were not short of creativity to entertain their guests it is the least we can say.

So when came the time to plan Akaash’s Baraat we knew we needed to come up with something extra special. First, the couple had looked at a property in Los Cabos where we had envisioned the entrance of the groom to his ceremony being from the Ocean… it was going to be challenging but it was possible! Though when they decided to move forward with Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos we knew we had to find another idea. Indeed the Pacific Ocean was much ruffer than the Sea of Cortes and what was complicated in the first place was impossible to keep our groom safe here. So we sat at their dining table one night and started brainstorming. The horse or carriage was too “conventional” for our groom, so we started looking into the razors, ATV, etc… but nothing was convincing Akaash so at some point we throw it in the air literally: if he could not come from the sea or the ground he had to come from the sky!

“What about Skydiving the entrance to the Baraat?”. Of course, the first thought was “You are joking right!”. And then Yadav asked “Is that possible?” and we answered him “Yes, of course!”. He was so excited that we jumped on our phones to contact our local skydive vendor and we were set!

Akaash was scheduled to visit one last time before the wedding to make a rehearsal jump early September but because the pilot was out of town he couldn’t. So his Baraat jump was his first at the location!

It was one of the highlights of the weekend!

Within 24hr after the jump, the Baraat was already published in India Today, Indian Express, Darpan Magazine, Shaadi Wish, Social News, The Quint just to name a few but also on numerous pages on Instagram including Wed Me  Good, Indian Wedding Buzz,  Wittyvows, Rao’z of India among others.

Behind the scene secret:

We had to consider some unexpected weather conditions.  Indeed about 1hr before the big jump the pilot of the plane taking Akaash informed us that a storm was forming and that we no longer had an hour ahead to proceed if we wanted to keep our groom safe… so we did what we had to do… and made sure the guests were at the meeting point on time. But the surprise was well kept and guests are still raving about it!
