Throughout the years our planners have specialized in cultural weddings and have a passion in particular for Indian weddings. We love South Asians cultures for their richness in colors, traditions and flavors. We also love that despite the distance many guests travel long distances sometime from India, England, Dubai, Hong Kong etc… to celebrate these lifetime celebrations.
The wedding of Minati from California to Anish from London was no exception.
Minati and Anish’s wedding was a two-day event only when most of the couples decide to have a three to four day celebration. Indeed in the Indian weddings the amount of ceremonies and events will vary based on the religion and the families. But some events usually come back on all the Indian weddings: the Mehndi (Henna ceremony), the Sangeet where the bride and groom relatives offer the couple dance performances and celebrate the beginning of the festivities, as well as the Haldi and the Pooja (Religious ceremonies).
Minati and Anish had already celebrate some of these events back a home and hosted a Haldi ceremony and welcome dinner by the Dolphin pool of at The Hilton Los Cabos on Friday then on the wedding day they had a Pooja really early in the morning with the bride and groom close family followed by the Barat (bride and groom procession) leading to their religious ceremony on the beach. The guests were then invited to a private lunch at one of the hotel restaurants followed by the Vidai ceremony, which represents the bride’s farewell to her family.
At night the entire group celebrated the newly weds in the ballroom of the resort!
